74 Supporters Killed, Egypt Announces Three Days of Mourning

TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Head of Egypt's Military Council which is responsible for Egypt's transitional government, Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, megumumkan three days of national mourning, of the 74 victims killed in the incident at the football stadium clashes antarsuporter Port Said, on Wednesday (02.01.2012), yesterday.

"We will pass this stage, Egypt will be stable again. We have a road map to transfer power to elected civilians. If anyone is planning instability in Egypt, they will not succeed. Each person will get what they deserve," he said as quoted by from CNN, Thursday (02/02/2012).

The Muslim Brotherhood, the largest political movement in Egypt, in his statement condemning the violence. They accused the authorities had failed to protect citizens.

"This is a security vacuum across the country, where there is armed robbery at a bank, random killings, some threatened to revolt against the parliament, and threatening the youth of the Muslim Brotherhood," Brotherhood said in a statement.
