LONDON - British Foreign Secretary William Hague will be worried about a new cold war with the Middle Eastern countries. Nuclear arms race among Middle Eastern countries suspected to be the trigger.

Hague estimates that the world can be mired in a new cold war, like the war between the West and the Soviet Union. But Hague insisted that his country did not support military action directed against Iran, as it had been planned by Israel.

"There is a crisis in sight, which could lead to disaster for the international community. Obviously Iran continued its nuclear weapons program," said William Hague told The Daily Telegraph, Saturday (02/18/2012).

Hague added that if Iran continued its nuclear program, then countries in other regions of the Middle East will follow the same steps with Iran.

"The threat of the cold war in the Middle East could happen if nuclear program continued without any safety mechanisms. This would be a disaster for the world," said Hague.

There is another concern that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will not end its nuclear program, even though Iran has imposed sanctions. Israel also plans to attack Iran within the next few months, if sanctions fail to cope with Iran.

Iran has been fixed with the conviction that their nuclear program for peaceful use. However, the western world and Israel have never believed this, and urged Iran to immediately end its nuclear program.
