Insulting the president, Carpenter Arrested

HARARE - A carpenter in Zimbabwe had the misfortune, when he was arrested for allegedly insulting President Robert Mugabe. Now he was forced to jail.

Zimbabwe Independent group of lawyers currently defending this carpenter. Known to arrest him, after watching years of Mugabe's birthday celebrations to-88, on television. So reported the Associated Press, Wednesday (02/29/2012).

When the carpenter who watched in a bar, he jokingly questioned whether Mugabe is still able to blow up the balloons at the birthday celebration.

The lawyers said the men were arrested on charges of insulting President Robert Mugabe. He also planned to be tried on 12 March.

Arrest on a charge of contempt against Mugabe's often the case. In this case, Mugabe loyalists allegedly heard the words of the carpenter and reported it to authorities.

Mugabe loyalists seem to not accept the words of the carpenter, for insulting Mugabe who is currently ill.
